Preseason Preview: Islanders at Wolf Pack
Oct 3, 2024The Bridgeport Islanders battle the Hartford Wolf Pack in their 2024 preseason opener tonight, dropping the puck at 6 p.m. inside the Koeppel Community Sports Center on the campus of Trinity College in Hartford. It marks their only preseason game on the road.
The Islanders’ game lineup is listed below, as announced during warmups at 5:25 p.m. this evening. The team’s full training camp roster is available here.
“We’ve had a few scrimmages during practice this week, but I’m looking forward to getting behind the bench and really watching our guys compete,” head coach Rick Kowalsky said. “This is a good opportunity to try some different things, and it allows our young guys a chance to see what the AHL is all about.”
“As for our staff, we’ve got some tough decisions to make and not a lot of time to make them. Tonight is a big night in terms of evaluating what we have and who stands out.”
Tonight's game will not be broadcasted, but fans can follow all of the live action via the team's official X account.
The Wolf Pack opened their exhibition slate with a 4-3 shootout loss to the Springfield Thunderbirds at MassMutual Center last night. Defenseman Madison Bowey scored twice and Blake McLaughlin added a goal, while Talyn Boyko and Hugo Ollas split time in net.
