What To Expect: Fan Appreciation Weekend

The Bridgeport Islanders have announced details for Fan Appreciation Weekend at Total Mortgage Arena, which features a two-game set this Saturday, Apr. 12 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Apr. 13 at 3 p.m.

The celebration of another season with the best fans in hockey begins with "Islanders Fan Fest" from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, counting down to puck drop against the Hartford Wolf Pack. The Total Mortgage Arena Plaza, located directly outside the main entrance, will host food and beverages from Goni’s Gourmet Lobsta Truck, LoboReys Kitchen, and more. Pickleball of America will be on hand, and spin-the-wheel contests will be available throughout the event.

 

The “Official House Band of the Bridgeport Islanders,” Exit 12, will perform live music beginning at 4 p.m. and a beer garden will be set up outside the Fanatics Sportsbook. A sign-making area, as well as chalk and bubbles stations, will be available for kids. In addition, many items in the "Bait Shop," the Bridgeport Islanders team store, will be marked down to $25.

 

The party continues on Sunday afternoon from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Exit 12 returns for two more hours of live music, while food and beverages from Cricket Car Hop and Yellow Kings Coffee Truck will be on site. A baseball inflatable, spin-the-wheel contests, a firetruck touch-a-truck station courtesy of the Bridgeport Fire Department, and chances to decorate your own puck will also highlight the afternoon. Kid's jerseys and other team merchandise will be on sale.

 

The Islanders face the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in their final home game of the season.
